Grad School Advice

Typed this out and it is pretty long - I appreciate any advice if anyone wants to read through it

Could use some advice on grad school.. quick background:

-Graduated Dec 08 from non-target state school, 3.3 cum gpa (finance)
-Internships in PWM and a hedge fund
-Lots of ECs and leadership roles

Near the end of school I was still unsure of what I really wanted to do, but had an industry in mind that I liked and got into a 2 year leadership program with a company in that industry. Everything is going well so far, I'm enjoying the work, and can see myself getting into strategy/corp dev after the program is over (1.5 yrs left).

I think I would be content staying with my company in corp dev for a while, but I'm definitely wanting to go back to school already (even though I just finished undergrad 7 months ago). I know I don't want to do an MBA yet, so I've been thinking about an MSF. Here is where I run into a couple of problems.

First, I am definitely not the strongest in math, which will make it a struggle to get a good score on the GMAT. I plan on taking a quant intensive GMAT prep course, which I'm sure will help. But, even with a decent GMAT, I don't have many options on where I can get an MSF because of my location (CT). Because of this I've been thinking about doing an online program - IU Kelly has an online MSF - but I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not. I'm not thinking about an MSF to move to a different company, just to further my education and add something to my background before going for an MBA.

So, I guess this is option 1 - online MSF.

I've also seen some people here talk about taking online classes at extension schools (Harvard, UCLA, etc..) in weaker areas to supplement undergrad grades. Is this a good idea? I would want some math/stats courses, but I'm not sure if many will be online.

As part of the program I'm in, I have to take 2 accounting courses, so I guess I could just find a math course or two and take those at the same school I'll be taking accounting at.

I am just confused on what my next steps should be regarding education, as there are many options out there and they all sound good to me. Money is not an issue as my company covers everything, but I do know I want some further education if I can find the right way to go about it.

Thanks for any advice.

I recommend Northeastern University MSF. For myself, if I stay in Boston, I will apply to the Boston College MSF program. It's top ranked in the nation. There's a WSO thread about MSF programs.

If you are thinking about an online MBA though, Indiana Kelley and Thunderbird are offering a joint MBA and Masters of International Management--those are two well respected degrees you can complete while on the job.
