Harvard 2+2 - Rising junior in math/econ
Hey monkeys, i am a rising junior maths/econ double major at a non-target liberal arts college. 4.0 gpa, hasnt taken GMAT yet. Interned with 2 hedge funds and ER group at a BB. If i get a high gmat score, is it worth for me applying for the 2+2 program, in terms of the possibility of getting in? cause i know they are looking for non-finance kids, will my experiences in finance really hurt me?
Thanks.
I don't meant to be rude but you should really work on your writing before applying to any top b-school
Almost definitely your finance experience along with econ major will hurt you. They specifically state they're looking for non-business kids, and well...you are towards the epitome of a business kid.
Does that mean business kids don't get in? No, but if you're major was biochemistry instead of econ you'd have a better chance.
This is obviously a small sample size but the only person i know doing the 2+2 program was an econ major and worked at GS. So I am not really sure if the non-business thing is really all that significant.
Yes, it's worth it. Apply.
