High school Morgan Stanley event

In high school, I applied and was invited to a London Morgan Stanley event for pre-college/uni students. I was unable to go- they called me that morning and I told them I was sick. Would this affect my future applications? Will I get blacklisted or something?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, missing a high school event at Morgan Stanley and informing them that you were sick is unlikely to have any significant impact on your future applications. High school events are generally designed to introduce students to the firm and its opportunities, and they are not typically tied to formal recruiting processes.

As long as you communicated professionally and honestly about your inability to attend, it should not result in being blacklisted or negatively affect your chances in the future. When applying later, focus on building a strong application, networking effectively, and demonstrating your interest in the firm.
