How fucked up am i?

Hey everyone,

I’m a 17-year-old aspiring to break into high finance (Sales & Trading, Asset Management, or something along those lines). However, my situation is pretty complicated.

I’m not a U.S. citizen and can’t afford to attend college in the U.S., not even a non-target. My only realistic options are universities in **South America**, which means I won’t have the traditional feeder school advantage for recruiting.

Despite this, my ultimate goal is to **build a career in the U.S.**. I know this will be extremely difficult given my background, so I’m looking for advice on:
- The best way to **leverage a South American degree** to get a shot at the U.S. job market.
- How to **network internationally** and build a profile that could make me competitive.
- Whether there are any **alternative paths** (e.g., grad school, internships, certifications) that could help bridge the gap.

I’m fully committed to making this happen, even if it takes unconventional routes. Any insights, experiences, or advice would be greatly appreciated. Probably gonna end up killing myself anyway, honestly.

Thanks in advance!
