International student trying to enter IB SG from SG MSF

Hi everyone,

This will be my first post ever so please bear with me.

Im a Chinese Canadian ,with a recently graduated non-finance major, whos trying to enter to the IB world from a MSF.

I am considering whether or not to apply to MSF programmes at NUS/SMU. I wasn't able to find any placement information about the two programme, so im skeptical in applying as an international student. I worked in HK in two previous internships and enjoyed my time in asia. I think SG would better than HK since my Chinese is not at business fluency. I heard that SG firms tend to favour locals vs international students. I was wondering if anyone from NUS/SMU Masters in Finance programme or who works in IB SG can share some of their insights. Also if anyone know how the IB job market is like currently in SG.

Other than applying to asia, I am currently applying to some of the schools like USC, BC, Olin to work in the US, but I have a dream to work in SG.

I would appreciate any tips or insights. Thanks!
