Is my profile good enough for the SSE Economics / Finance Master

Hello there!

I am about to finish my Bachelors in Economics from Bonn and my big dream is to study Economics at SSE

I would love to work in Academia but I am also interested in a PE/secondaries.

My profile:

Academics

3.0 GPA (2.0)

Professional Experience

  1. Several economic research institutes -  2 years total
  2. Big4 Audit of a major global Bank - 1 year
  3. PE Intern at a midcap (30 bil AuM) fund - 8 months
  4. OEM strategy intern in Asia - 6 months
  5. founder/cofounder of 2 startups that are going decently

Extracurriculars

3 years of volunteer work at Unicef including 1 year as the "manager" of a local group

Gmat : tba - currently studying full time for it.

Just have an alright GMAT and you are in. They don't really care about experience

Really? Ive heard they are very competetive.

No. If you want a backup, apply to the Master program in Accounting, Valuation & Financial Management at SSE. Easier to get in than MSc Finance 

 

They just raised a 1.5 billion € fund so I thought they would classify as a midmarket fund but maybe the deal sizes in the US are bigger.

Then it is not a 30mn fund. 30mn is very very small
