LBS MFA: Do I have a chance? Is it worth it?

Hi everybody,

I study economics in Brazil and I was seriously thinking about applying to Master in Financial Analysis in London Business School. It is a new program for students who haven't worked for more than one year.

Could someone please tell me if I have a chance of being accepted? It would help me a lot

pros: I study in the best university of Latin America (university of Sao Paulo), and the economics course is one the best in Brazil.

I'm a director of the oldest and biggest student entity of financial markets in Brazil. I have created several students programs in partnerships with major banks such as BofA Merrill Lynch, I also have created a value investing studies group (I don't know if they care about students entities) and worked as a director of the entity for two years by now

I was also an editor and writer of a financial markets magazine managed and written by students of the best business schools in the country.

I had an internship during one year in a small m&a and financial restructuring boutique. I'm currently having an internship in a private equity fund where I intend to stay for 2 years.

As my family does not enough money to afford my rent and expenses, I had to start working much sooner than my classmates (I don't know if they care either)

cons: I don't have any money, so I will have to apply for a scholarship or a student loan. (I also would like to know if you think this program is worth it)

My country is facing a serious financial crisis and I heard they avoid accepting people from countries with economic problems because they are afraid we will be unemployed by the end of the program(I don't know if that is true)

The biggest problem is I'm a pretty average student because I had to work a lot to pay my rent but I never failed a class and the University of Sao Paulo does not disclosure a student ranking. Although, if they simply convert my grades, I will not have a high GPA

If I score 720 or 730 on the GMAT I will have a chance?

Thank you very much.
