MSc in Finance picks in Europe
I just got my GMAT score, pretty disappointed in myself. I got 690, which is 20 points higher than the first take. I had a +700 practice score but somehow ended up having 690.
I'm planning to apply for a MSc in Finance in Europe for next year intake. I'm thinking ESADE, ESSEC, EDHEC because they have a lower average GMAT profile. I thought about ESCP but they require C1 french fluency.
What school should I apply for with this score? Do I stand a chance at either ESSEC or ESADE?
I'm not a big fan of banking, I'd prefer equity research given the flexible hours and good exits to L/S MM HFs. I have an internship coming up for equity research as well. London is the ultimate plan of course, but with the growth of finance in Paris I might opt for Paris, if I can learn French.
Would love some insight here. Thank you!!
With 690, and overall decent profile, you should have a good shot for places like HEC, Bocconi, LSE and LBS.
Thanks for responding mate. I'm just a bit cost conscious, HEC and LBS are way out of my league due to costs. ESSEC is 24k EUR which is perfect
With 690 aim for SSE or ESSEC. Don't aim for ESADE, ESCP or EDHEC. Aim higher 🚀
Thank you! Just curious why you're suggesting against ESADE? I thought it was a decent school?
ESADE is an "okish" school but considering the price -> way overpriced. SSE has much better value.
Apply to LBS,LSE & HEC. If rejected, go to ESSEC. Forget about considering EDHEC & ESCP. ESADE is not bad at all, but very overpriced vs ESSEC
