MSF programs or risk H1-B process.

Current UK undergraduate in a bit of a strange situation.

I did a undergraduate with a placement year (1-year experience in 3rd year of degree) in which i worked at a boutique AM and assisted a PM (Small Thematic fund). I was able to leverage and network this experience with the help of some extracurricular activities & investment blog which connected me with a large LO fund in the US, TX. I was able to provide more value than i thought and it has resulted in me carrying on working remotely whilst being back in the UK finishing my undergrad. They expressed interest in me coming back, of which the only process is to go through the H1-B lottery which is chancy and a lot of stress as if i don't get one i am screwed.

The alternative i thought of was applying to MSF programs which allow me to get a 3 year OPT and would be a guarantee of at least a few years of work. In this regard i wanted to know the top programs i could apply for. The rankings system seems a bit broken and untrustworthy. So i would be wanting to do one in the US for the visa so my options are slightly limited but i still want to do a program that is worth doing. Have a read a few posts on this and i'm sitting my GRE soon (as quick as i can to just get a score to use before deadlines).

- Note i applied to UT MSF (the program closest to the shop i interned at so my top pick) and got rejected on the basis that i and quote 'Know too much finance and would not be a good fit with students'. Some 'Masters in Finance'.
