MSF School Advice

I am currently a student at a non-target in Connecticut with a 3.4 GPA. I am majoring in finance with a minor in accounting. I would like to get into Asset Management or trading. I think it would be beneficial if I went to get a MSF after I graduate. I would like to stay somewhere in the Northeast to get my MSF. I have read a lot about BC, but what other programs in the Northeast have a reputable program with decent placement rates? The other schools I have looked into are Bentley, Brandeis, Fairfield, Pace, and Hofstra. Let me know what you think of these schools. Thanks.

Out of that list I would focus on BC, bentley, and Brandeis. Brand has a real international focus, don't know too much about bentley other than it is supposed to be a decent UG. I think BC is the best out of the 3. I think the MSF will help you with AM more than S&T.

I think the MSF will help you with AM more than S&T.

Why is that? I was under the impression that MSF's are better for S&T...

I think MFEs are great for the moretechnical products. Not saying an MSF won't help, but from my first hand experience and research MSF really places well into banking and then a little in those other fields. Of course it is program specific.

Thanks for the advice. I was just doing some more research and found the Northeastern, BU and Uconn also have MSF programs. Any thoughts on these schools/programs? Also, I have read that BC requires work experience to get into the MSF program. How much work experience and would it be waived if I had good internship experience?
