Profile Review for MSF

Hey People, I am an engineering graduate and currently working in Investment Management/Research for the past 8 months.. My gpa is 3.7/4 .. GRE is 305 and TOEFL 101 .. I have applied to Boston College MSF, University of Rochester and Washington Olin.. Got a reject from Washington after the interview.. No idea why but wait-listed by Rochester.. What are my chances for Boston college and Rochester?
Thanks for consideration..

I'd say less than 50%.BC is a better program than Rochester and if they are waitlisting you I'd imagine BC will do the same or ding you.

If you're going to do a "lower tier" msf program I'd choose it based on price and location. Rochester is in the middle of nowhere.

Thanks for being frank.. I am not keeping my hopes high..What can I do for increasing my prospects to BC ?

You could look at their PT program. Same education and degree, lower bar to get into. I'd also apply to other schools. Johns Hopkins Ohio state, Santa Clara, etc. Pick the one the gives you the best package and is close to a major metro.

Okay.. But I am very keen on BC FT program.. I work in India and won't be eligible for the PT one .. I want to be an Asset manager and as far as I have read BC is the best to get me into it .. I don't want to do Masters just to come to America.. The program has to be the best.. I can take GMAT or retake GRE if that's required .. Anything else I could work upon ?

You need to retake the GRE. 305 GRE is roughly 570-600 GMAT depending on the breakdown of the sections. I would also recommend you apply in the earliest round possible. You will have a much harder time in the later rounds as an international applicant (esp. from India). Your GPA and internship experience is good but my advice is to take the GRE/GMAT again and reapply for first rounds in the fall.
