Quality of Financial engineering programs: U of Illinois MS Financial engineering, U Dayton/UNC Charlotte Financial Mathematics

Hello everyone,

New Poster here. I will be graduating with a dual major in finance and mathematics from a large midwest state university. In my undergrad, I had a finance professor who, prior to his PhD, got his masters in Financial Mathematics from UNC Charlotte. I had not heard of these types of programs and they seem to be an interesting mix of finance, mathematics, and computer science. I was accepted to Illinois MSFE program, U of Dayton Financial Mathematics program and UNC charlottes Financial mathematics program. I wanted to see if anyone here has experience with these programs or know someone who does and would give feedback on the quality of the programs. My end goal is to get a job doing work like developing time series models for statistical forecasting or asset allocation. Do these programs carry weight in the professional world? Or would a masters in economics or applied mathematics be a better option?

Sorry for the long post. I appreciate any feedback.
