feel free to pm, i attend one of the schools listed above
Are you seriously considering paying 180k for a less prestigious program? Trust me Berkeley is the better choice here by a long shot. If you grind, you'll get into Haas, and even if you don't, Berkeley econ will probably place close to just as well as UT Austin Honors. Even still, the 180k extra is not worth it.
You don't need to be in Haas to get the same jobs. It is mostly about the organizations and GPA you have more than the school you are in at Cal. Still, UT BHP is an amazing program with good placement.
Echo the comment above-
UT BHP is 100% worth it if you can secure in-state tuition ($10K a year). Many of my friends have done it - just establish residency - there are creative ways to do this. Use your imagination.
Once you get to Cal, you'll be fine. Getting into Haas isn't that difficult. And if you don't get in on the first try, you can re-apply. Just be sure to study and prepare while most of your classmates are off somewhere else drinking. You'll be fine.
Go to McCombs - Can recruit IB for NYC and Houston (energy). Recruits on earlier timeline and less focused on GPA more on alumni relationships
