SAUDER VS ROTMAN VS IVEY & CAREER OPTIONS

Hi everyone! I am currently deciding between UBC Sauder, UofT Rotman and Ivey AEO with Economics for undergrad, and I was wondering if you would mind sharing some advice/personal experience? I haven’t decided yet but I’m thinking about management/finance/consulting. I’d potentially be going into grad school so grades would matter. I’m not worried about working hard but I’d like to choose the best fit for me.

I know that Ivey is the best for finance and is recognized in Canada, but I am wondering if its the same case for US and other countries? I might want to work internationally or do grad school in the US so I would like to keep my options open. Personally, I know that Ivey is a great school but schools like UofT and UBC seem to carry more weight with their names.

I'm not sure which career I'd like to go into yet so I feel like that factors in as well as I've heard that Ivey is not worth if I'm not going into consulting or finance. My personal interests include a career where I can help others, project management, financial markets, leadership, etc. I am not super interested in working in a killer job where hours are super long (I don't mind doing it for a couple of years but not for the rest of my life).

I've heard a lot of negative things about Rotman culture and academics however it is in downtown Toronto. With Sauder, I've heard that grads have had incredible difficulty getting placements out east and I was wondering if this is true. With Ivey, I am worried about the conditional offer and only receiving two years of business education vs four.

Finally, I've already paid my $500 deposit for UBC since it was an earlier deadline. I know that I should choose a school based off of best fit but money is definitely a factor and Ivey and Rotman would cost significantly more :(

Any advice/experience about careers or these schools is GREATLY APPRECIATED! Thank you :)
