SUNY Stony Brook Honors College or Wesleyan University
Hello, I was accepted into both Stony Brook's Honors College and Wesleyan University. After merit and financial aid, both would cost essentially the same (Wesleyan would be a little cheaper). I want to go into consulting and was wondering if it would be worth it to go to Wesleyan over Stony Brook. I would prefer to go to Stony Brook since I would commute instead of dorm. If I go to Stony Brook, will I be missing out on a huge opportunity with Wesleyan or do you think the difference is minimal enough that my personal preference far precedes it.
Hey AbuKalam, I'm here to break the silence...any of these links help you?:

If those topics were completely useless, don't blame me, blame my programmers...
wesleyan is a far superior school, and the fact that it is slightly cheaper makes it a no-brainer. unless the reason you wish to commute is due to dire family circumstances or something equally as severe, go to the better school, and immerse yourself in the college experience; you’ll have to live on your own eventually. to my knowledge, as wesleyan is a school of a much higher caliber, many more students place into consulting and high-finance as compared to stony brook. and, wesleyan is dominated by a much wealthier/preppier student body as compared to stony brook, which is great for nepotism/connections in consulting and finance.
i completely understand if you feel stony brook would be a better fit, but if you are truly invested in getting a higher quality education, go to wesleyan.
As an SBU grad don't go to SBU
I hope you didn't choose SB
