The real value of a "top" European MiM?

Hey guys,

I'm currently studying a MIM at a supposed top school in Europe. During my BSc, at a nice school, I have always felt attendance really useless: someone comes in class to summarise you a book - especially for qualitative courses. So I started skipping almost all classes, enjoyed life and then studied very hard for a few weeks at the end of each semester and got top grades. I was really looking forward to going somewhere else where the prof really ads value.

Well now here I am, I pay 14k€ a year for it and it's almost fully debt funded (education was almost free during undergrad) and I am really, like really really disappointed. Profs seem to be great on CV, but don't bring the value they could thanks to their experience. And I'm basically doing the same thing as during undergrad. I almost feel scammed by the school. Plus, exams are a pure restitution of the course content without any distribution of grades based on questions where you actually have to go deeper and provide some thoughtful analyses. It's just a matter of studying, not of truly understanding. Grades are thus distributed through time constraints during the exams, which is imho stupid. At least during my bachelor's exams were well designed and always ending with tougher - in terms of comprehension and application - questions going a bit further than what has been seen in an hour of class, which made competition more sound and fair imo.

So my question is: where is the real value of that kind of school? You're all going to talk about their network, but I believe there are many other ways to build yourself the network you need to succeed. Beyond being considered as a qualified candidate work as hell at MMB or for IB analysts positions in ultra competitive markets like London, I don't get it. I'm just curious to hear your comments/experiences/believes about it.

Thanks for your comments!
