The Time Choose: Planning

Yet another brief post for this month;

The time has come when I need to decide about colleges and sift my list down to a few of my top choices.

Babson College: Very Selective
Intrigued by the Cutler Trading Room.
The school is heavily geared toward business.
Does have a bit of recruiting.

University of Denver: Not Very Selective
Less focused on business but Ive heard it still has a pretty good program.
Located in a nice area where I can bike and ski.
I believe I would truly have a nice time at this campus.
Little recruiting if not any.

Cal Poly: Least Selective
Heard it has a killer business program ( However nothing compared to east coast schools).
Cheap
Close to Home.

Basically I want to end up with a career in finance as an investment banker, although it seems that schools play a major roll in breaking into IB. If I don't get into my top choices Ill be tempted to go to a less selective school and then transfer to a more prestigious program for connections and recruitment. ex: CSU long beach for two years and then transfer to NYU. Is this a good idea? Do you recommend saving the prestigious school options for grad school and going straight into grad school after college?

Im quite worried right now because Babson is my top choice and I really like what they offer, however it is pretty selective so anything could happen. I truly believe that Babson will give me an advantage to get into IB that no other school could do. Any advice for a finance prospective going into college is needed. I would like to reach out to others who are already in IB circle and could maybe impart some guidance upon me in these next few months.
