UChicago vs Georgetown vs Dartmouth vs UC Berkeley

Hi, these are my top choices right now for undergrad. I'll be studying econ in all three of these schools.

My long term goal is to break into IB, which school would you guys rec? Thanks

I go to uchi. Uchi has better placements than dartmouth, but Dartmouth is probably way more fun and in a much nicer area. I’d take Dartmouth.

All these schools can get you where you want and have clear pros and cons. Just go where you want.

Berkeley — west coast, tech presence, broadest academic strengths, in state tuition?, but big public

Dartmouth — ivy, fun, good undergrad focus. but middle of nowhere (good if outdoorsy and fratty)

Georgetown — great WS placement, access to city, ivy-esque student populace, but more limited pool of academic interests / strengths on campus (primarily a gov/econ type place)

Uchicago— most academically prestigious at the ugrad level here, best campus (imho), but shitty location and unique culture / rigor

thanks for the explanations of each. I'm leaning towards Uchicago rn but I think after campus tours I'll be confident of where to go

Really depends on where you want to be. If goal is west coast tech banking, berkeley is great. If goal is NY/east coast/generalist roles, the other schools might be better.

Gotcha, don't want to do anything tech related and I hope to go to New York in the future. I committed UChicago, hopefully don't regret it later lol

Thanks for the insight!
