UofT Rotman Commerce Vs UBC Sauder for finance

Hey, I've been admitted to both these places and want to know which of these would be better for finance and a career in banking/consulting? I see myself happy at UBC because of many factors but I've read that Rotman gives better opportunities and has better academics. Should I leave Sauder because of this? Also, I want to do MBA if that affects anything. Thank you.

In my opinion go for Rotman, but if possible try for Ivey/Queens. Recruiting for consulting and banking out of UBC is almost impossible as almost all of the internship and job positions are located in Toronto. I’ve heard of some placements coming out of the UBC investment club (one is an analyst at KKR) but it generally doesn’t place any where close to Ontario schools. In fact, one of my classmates transferred from UBC to Ivey/Queens/McGill after second year as the banking recruiting at UBC was nearly non-existent.

Source: went through the Canadian banking recruiting process and didn’t meet a single UBC student

While neither is a target, I believe Sauder places better vs a larger alumni network at Rotman.
