UPenn - What major should I take?

I recently made a post related to being accepted into this school. Given that I’m not in Wharton, I’m debating which major I should take to better my IB prospects. The two most common majors seem to be PPE and Econ. GPA-wise the former would likely yield me higher grades, but I have heard Econ is more competitive for IB. I would definitely enjoy studying either major, so whichever one is “better” for recruiting would be fine with me. All advice is welcome.

My advice would be to speak with current students at Penn who are pursuing the same career as you and get their take on it. I'd say that's much more reliable than getting advice from randos who probably haven't stepped a foot on the Penn campus. Join some finance clubs, and I'm sure you'll get a good feel for it. Perhaps, you can contact the career center too. You can always use LinkedIn to get an initial look.

Bro, please don’t decide on whether to major in PPE vs Econ based on which is easier or which will get you into IB. Penn’s courses are intensive, as is all Ivy League courses, so you should choose your degree based on what you want to study.

I would have loved to do that, and I should have included this in my post, but I've been accepted as a college transfer so internally transferring is not an option for me unfortunately. Nonetheless, thank you for your insight.
