Would you attend a HSW MBA if you were in this situation

32 years old. Mid career. VP at a large international firm. 400k all in comp with normal 40-50 hours. No spouse. No dogs cats.

Not even looking to further my career as I don’t think the HSW MBA stamp help much at this point. As in, I dont want to be a CEO of a 100B+ AUM firm. I just want a chill life like I have now and perhaps get to scratch in golf (my biggest pursuit right now).

Only reason I can think of taking up this opportunity is to make friends, travel and party for 2 years. Im not worried about the tuition. But the cost of not working for 2 years is a lot.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it seems like the decision to pursue an HSW MBA in your situation depends on your personal and professional goals.

If your main goal is to enjoy life, make friends, travel, and party for 2 years, then an MBA could be a great opportunity. As mentioned in the WSO threads, an MBA can be seen as a professionally approved 2-year holiday, and it can provide a great personal experience, almost like a sabbatical.

However, you also mentioned that you're not looking to further your career and you're content with your current lifestyle. Given that, and considering the opportunity cost of not working for 2 years, you might want to weigh these factors carefully.

Remember, the decision is ultimately yours and should align with what you value most in your life at this moment.

You have nothing to lose. Go for it. The fun, joy, partying and potential to meet new people is worth more than accruing money and having nothing/no one in your life
