2nd Year Associate looking to lateral into IB

Currently a 2nd year associate in NY in S&T and looking into lateral into IB as an an1, have realized that S&T is not for me long term. 25 y/o and want to avoid going to business school to get into IB if possible. Realize its tough in the current market, is it possible for me to make the move with enough networking or is B school my only hope?

These are quite different functions and you’re probably not going to be happy regressing to an analyst 1 level after being an associate in s&t. You’re going to make probably 150k-200k tops as an analyst 1, versus likely much more in s&t
