Advice for Student Looking to Get Into Prop/Quant Trading? List of Places to Work? Prep? Hours/Pay?
UChicago undergrad here planning to major in econ and computational/applied math -- anyone have a list of good quant places to shoot for internships at? I have heard the interview process is hella competitive but that pay and worklife balance is relatively good. I am worried about the exit opportunities/whether or not I am actual cut out for this. Any advice is appreciated as well as both insights on the industry at large and a list of places that are cool to work at within this space that might be less competitive.
Hi masteroogway, no, I never sleep and so I can respond to any lonely threads (like this one) at all hours of the night. Impressive, I know ;-)
More suggestions...
I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.

Many places are done hiring if you’re looking for 2022 positions. Interviews tend to be almost all technical. You need to know probability very well, some firms will also ask about stats stuff like regression.
