Advice... Please give your input

Hey guys. So my bud is a Michigan grad with a double major in Finance and Econ, 3.5, UBS and Merrill Lynch experience (not IBD). He graduated in May 09. He's a die hard trader and wants to get in. What's the best bet? Go for CFA? Whats the best way to get into a firm where he can be on a desk? Get a job now or go for MBA? Any recommendations on how to go at the job hunt for trading once your out of undergrad?

Thanks in advance.

It sounds like his "bud" may be actually him.

Any how, Michigan's a great school but a 3.5 isn't a great GPA.

The big question is how can someone with no Trading experience who is maybe 22 years old be a die hard trader? Care to elaborate.........?
