AM I under paid in London as a S&T third year analyst? Base:70k

Hi guys- I recently secured a place at BB S&T prime desk. They told me my base as a third year analyst is 70k GBP. Am I underpaid or it is quite normal salary for London office…?

Yeah that's below the norm of what they would generally pay those on the graduate scheme. BB base for A3 at ones I'm aware of is £80. Think at some places it's 85. (This is a slight discount to IBD from what I understand).

However have heard of international laterals being paid below street when they join. Is that the case here?

Or this could be like Barc/DB which I don't know the exact figures but I know they pay bases below street.

Hi - yeah this is international laterals, and I believe name of the bank is good (American BB).

I understand they need pay my visa and also they give me sum of the money as “moving bonuses” so I need to take it in the 10k discount I guess.

The questions is do you think the 70k base is acceptable? Sure, maybe it is less for my bank standard but if names like DB, Barc only pay around 75k, I guess it is acceptable considering I get the moving bonuses on top of it.

For third year analyst below market for sure in London. However, if they facilitated a visa for you as well as a moving bonus then I would still consider yourself lucky. In this current job market, particularly in London, I very rarely see anyone receiving visa sponsorships anymore. Best of luck in the new role mate.
