Belvedere Trading Info
I have an interview for a Trader Trainee summer internship with Belvedere next week and am just trying to gather a bit more about the company. I've looked at all the information this site has about the firm (which is not too much, but still helpful) and was curious as to whether or not anyone might have any insight into the interviews themselves or plain info about Belvedere that might be good to know.
I'm guessing just the norm should be expected (1st=technical; 2nd=fit; 3rd=office), but it's always good to doublecheck.
And also, it's via Skype..shirt+tie+boxers sufficient, or should I actually bang out a suit?

definitely bang out the suit. I had an interview for a ft position and it was brutal. I first had to take a quantitative test (not too hard, stuff i learned to do in pre-calc in HS). However, the second interview (which was one hour) was absolutely brutal. It was like 15 minutes of fit/back ground questions and the last 45 minutes was non-stop brain teasers / riddles. It was probably the hardest interview i had.

I have an interview with Ciroc trading, but I'm shooting for Grey Goose trading. Hopefully I don't get stuck with my safety, Banker's Club trading.
Definitely be prepared for mental math, brainteasers, and probability questions.
Belvedere is a good shop and they have been growing quite a bit over the past few years.

I have a first round with them soon. Any thoughts about what they do, how good of a prop shop they are? Also, I'm interviewing for a software engineer position, so would that be mainly back office or would I have a chance to actually work on the algotrading models?

Trainees get a decent salary for their first year or so but what would the pay be like after that as well as the job security?
Anything would help.
I know one guy who works there - he's a genius and a top talent, so I think it speaks well to the firm that they could recruit him. That said, I've heard the risk parameters make it very difficult to churn big P&L.
Talked to them when I was recruiting. Up and coming, but atm, I'd say definitely a step below the companies you mentioned

What are the "Trading Games"?
Is it straight probability or questions about fit etc as well? 6 hours seems intense
The trading games include quick mental math while making markets. There are some behavioral interviews as well, which I felt had more of an impact than your performance in the trading games. The trading games were done with junior people while the interviews are done with partners. And be prepared to go out for "several" drinks after the interview.
Anyone have any insight into their S&T Hirevue? its "all technical" so I'm a bit worried here haha
