Breakwater Trading

Maybe I should drag around a toilet to show people that I AM THE SHIT.

Don't know too much about them but from what I do know they're pretty legit, trade futures & options I'd definitely talk to them / check them out if you get the chance.

Mostly people trading interest rate futures. They do trade a variety of securities. I believe they have a group running some black box equity strategies that came over from Bear Stearns after Bear blew up. However, I do not believe they are active in options at all. And if they are, they're a negligible options player. Honestly, after talking to a number of people who worked there, it sounds like an arcade with people spreading 10 year futures against the cash.

I heard they are running into trouble. Possibly a big trader blowing out from the recent move in treasuries. Anyone know more?

Breakwater is mostly fixed income futures. Not a particularly great place. The U.S. fixed income traders have been getting killed since the fed destroyed front-end volatility. Very little arbitrage opportunity.
