buying treasury notes?
easiest way to buy treasury notes? can i do it on td ameritrade? i have never bought bonds before. thank you for the help

not on TD...but you can with interactive brokers, and a few other discount brokerages like Schwab and Fidelity (for a fee).
You can also buy bonds directly from the US govt thru TreasuryDirect.gov at the monthly auctions...for zero fee. To sell bonds you own,. you would 1st have to transfer them to a broker.
Easiest way to expose yourself to these types of assets are with bond funds, but of course for a fee.
