capital cost of stating a trading desk

Hey Monkeys,

Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. I am curious as to the expenses a bank incurs to start a desk.

I guess an example of what I am looking for is something like this:

cash equities desk: flow trading initial set up cost for 3 trader operation + sales + ops = $5 million total capital allocated to fund trades: $100 million continuing expenses post-launch: $3 million

I will update this if there are a few answers to create a quick list/ reference guide. any information is helpful.

Thanks!
