New Hire Processing: In the coming weeks, you will be receiving information via email on completion of your New Hire Processing. This will include online forms as well as your New Hire Processing Appointment. You will be required to complete a drug test and fingerprinting 30 days prior to your start

You'll have to submit a drug test within 30days of starting. If you're "out of the country" during this time frame, then you have to take one during the first week up in nyc

In case you're curious (I was), their drug test is just urine.

But in all honesty, if you are going to make it on the Street you're going to need to kick marijuana (if that's what it is). It does not mesh with the lifestyle.

...not sure of this is sarcastic...many very successful people on wall st smoke weed. I also wouldnt worry about the drug test...there are commercially available masking agents and i have literally never heard of someone losing a job due to testing positive for marijuana which leads me to believe that they really dont care. So take precautions but i would bet that they afrent even really checking.

It is much better smoking a joint form time to time than being addicted to LEGAL prescription drugs (like so many in the U.S have become) peddled by doctors getting kickbacks from pharma corps. It is amazing that in this day and age so many people are still up in arms and judgmental about something as innocuous as cannabis when there are so many much worse drugs circulating through the legal channels.

Happy 420 everyone.

Too late for second-guessing Too late to go back to sleep.

Sorry to ask this a year later but i have an interviewed scheduled and i was wondering what type of drug test it was. I know someone said Urine but is that for sure?

Agreed. I did it once for my last spring break. if it is Urine it won't be a problem because I'm not a smoker but if its hair i heard it goes back 3 months and can detect it even if it was a small amount.

Can confirm that you can take the drug test basically up until the week before you start for Citi. Some banks have earlier deadlines but I know that Citi's can be done very last minute, it just has to be in and processed before you start - the official deadline is probably earlier, but a lot of people don't have testing centers near them at university and have to wait until they get home to do it, just be communicative with HR. It's a 5 panel urine test, so it'll check for THC/marijuana, opiates, amphetamines, methamphetamines and phencyclidine (PCP/other hallucinogens). So everything college students use recreationally except for like, benzos. Study drugs that aren't prescribed to you will show up under amphetamines so be careful if you use those. Stop smoking ASAP to be absolutely positive it's out of your system, that varies a lot from person to person and your usage, and give any stimulants at least a week (preferably two, let's be real, you don't wanna be the one outlier) to flush out even though they're notorious for being out in 2-3 days.
