when i was at uni, i had a friend who moonlighted as a bartender. he was notorious for giving free drinks to all his friends and all the girls he was trying to go home with. someone inevitably snitched to the manager but, somehow, they could never catch him in the act. ended up firing him for giving someone the wrong change once.

maybe that's what happened here. maybe they wanted him gone but couldn't find a legit reason. still, strange reason to fire a guy who could have easily bought everyone's lunch, eaten it in front of them and made them go without food as a power move. hr these days, man...

It's an issue of habit and ethics. If this person steals food from the canteen, what makes it so sure that the individual wouldn't steal money? It's not a good situation. It is just a liability.

Shut up man. Citi shouldn't be nickel and diming their bankers. Taking a packs of Cheez-Its from the break room for a company you generate $MM's for has way less moral impact or consideration than stealing money from clients or insider trading.

There is obviously more going on in the background as it is apparent the bank was looking for any reason to get rid of him.

You make over $1,000,000+ and you can't afford to buy food? So, you steal something instead when you realistically know you shouldn't do it. That is funny.

“Habit and ethics” Go to church bro. Since when were banks about ethics and morals? They just got mad because my man came up on some fat arb peddling cool ranch Doritos on the subway
