Convertible bond trading - info
Hello Guys,
All the best for 2022 !
I will be doing an internship in convertible bond trading (in a bank) this summer. I am trying to prepare before the start. I am working on a convertible bond book right now. But I would like to more technical and concrete knowledge on the business. I'm afraid being strong on pricing and theory, although very interesting, is far from being enough, and can be, to a certain extent, a bad time investment when compared to feedback from traders or people manipulating convertibles.
So if some of you can give me some information about the business, especially market making, that would be so helpful !!!
Also if you have some advices concerning convertible bond books, I am also interested ;)
Thanks in advance,
Bump. I will be joining a convertible bonds group this summer as well! Any resources would be much appreciated
Could you speak about your experience in convertible bond trading? I have an interview for a convertible bond trading internship at a French bank. The job description said I would be a trader assistant. I was confused about whether the role is front office because of the job description. Could you also speak about comp and exits?
SocGen?
BNP Paribas. I had previously interviewed at SocGen
