Corporate Sales vs Investor Sales

Hi Monkeys

Is Corporate Sales more preferred than Investor Sales, vice versa or both are pretty much equal wrt to exit opps, comp, etc?

Thanks so much.

Depends on the team. Investor sales can be super hot and you can make lots of money, but it's becoming harder and harder. Corpo sales you have clients that are a tiny bit less price sensitive and the deal you pull will be fewer but most likely larger. Comp it will depend on your boss, your bank, how political you are, and whether you can survive the rat race.

I was selling to hedgies and AM for most of my career - it was great in good years, horrible in bad years. Out of all my clients 95% died or changed. Corpo is a lot more stable I'd like to think - but then again grass is always greener
