Fin/Econ vs. Physics/CompuSci :(

I looked at a job posting on WSO a few days ago for traders in a prop shop. They were looking for Physics, Math, Engineering etc. majors not a word about economics or finance. I got interested in trading a year ago in high school now I'm a finance/economics major for the reason that those jobs usually require a mix of fin+econ+accounting at least I thought.
Can I or should I go into trading if I have passion for markets but hate programming (still doesn't make sense why do traders even need to program), took basic math and econometrics and not planning on taking anything else and got a "C" on my only information technologies course. Makes me want to cry that people that study markets don't become traders when physics nerds do....

If you've got game then you will play. The mark of a great trader is having the stomach for risk, everything else is peanuts. It doesn't take any kind of degree if you've got the balls to put your money where your mouth is. Trading's been heavily quant for quite a while now. Take your time, open an account, generate alpha and you will get an interview. What you do with it from that point is up to you. Good luck.
