Institutional Equity Morgan Stanley Internship

Hey Everyone - have a 1st Round as MS Institutional Equity Sales and Trading. Can someone explain what the division is as opposed to other divisions? Also, can you describe the internship and the structure. Thanks a lot!

I interviewed last year. They'll definitely ask you for an investment idea (i.e. have a stock pitch ready). Market knowledge is a given but I'm talking about knowing what's happening in U.S., Europe, China/Japan. Turkey might come up since it's been a hot topic these past few months. More than just reiterating the news, have an opinion on how you would trade based off this information. What I mean by that is, so Turkey is having a meltdown, how would you trade Turkish securities to capitalize on this opportunity. Know the values of the indices, MS share price, Treasury yields, Gold, Crude Oil, etc. I also suggest knowing about a sector to talk about in particular that you can elaborate on more which shows that you care about specific markets and actually research them. Be prepared for Statistics questions like Binomial Probability and Expected Value (e.g. Dice/Card/Coin toss problems). Hope this helps
