insurance solutions trading

ive been approached for a possible role as insurance/reinsurance trading for a BB. It sounds quite interesting however im not really understanding what skills are required and if it covers mainly stuff like annuities or other cross assets IR/FX/EQD .. Has anyone a grasp or experience and can share his 2c? also hows that looking in terms of future career prospect? looks like insurance business is quite solid and will always be needed
