Internal movement at ABC's
I have an offer from an ABC for the summer, and I was wondering during full time how difficult it is to move between products and locations?

I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.
I can only speak for my firm, but for locations, you are moved around all the time, as long as you are open to moving locations they will move you around. They say that usually a person is in a role for 2 years and then moved somewhere else both by location and usually commodity. Not for moving products it depends on what division you are in. I am in corn milling, and they like to keep and move up their own people as compared to the straight grain trading where it is easy to move around between commodities.
All comes down to networking and how the firm is set up, impossible to generalize but it definitely happens at the junior level as well as the senior level
