I have a weird feeling this might be BNPP or SocGen
Not gonna comment on that. Any input though?
Didn't mean to be rude/intruding, but had internship with them (on ETF/index desk). So was wondering if it was them I could offer quite a bit of insight
Yes. There is opportunity in the etf space because it continues to grow. The next frontier is fixed income etf as it is becoming more liquid, but still difficult to have as accurate prices as it's commodity and equity counterparts.
Look up articles regarding flow traders and Jane Street (Jane from a few weeks ago). Banks are doing the same thing.
ETF trading in prop shops is a lot more interesting than in banks imo The stuff that banks do can be fairly automated so idk if it's that great a career
Never work for a BB in ETF trading unless you want to be trading flow between clients and prop houses. Banks are not competitive in this part.
