btw i am assuming you have read hull's "options, futures, and other derivatives". if not you should definitely pick that up.
I have a summary of Hull's guide. I will check for your recommendation on torrentz over the summer. Thanks.
Mate, I'm in the exact same boat.
Sat in the library, supposed to be revising, all I can think about is what life will be like in 3 months.
Sorry, guys. This just really made me laugh.
Burnt out studying for finals so you're looking forward to a little "Interest Rate Derivatives" light reading.
Classic.
Econometrics has ruined me. I started to think about things in terms of statistically significant variables yesterday and I knew it was game over.
Does this mean hull's "options, futures, and other derivatives" is a must for people who want to work with the derivatives?
I mean is this book enough to prepare for technicals at the interview?
get burghardt's eurodollars book, it is essential reading for any ir swaps trader. it has the fundamentals of eurodollars to the building of the swap curve, hedging, and imo its a better book than hull bc its all IRD related while Hull's text covers all markets
^, agree, it's excellent.
guys,
do you still recommend burghardt´s book, even though it is a bit dated? In the end, http://www.amazon.de/Interest-Rate-Swaps-Their-Derivatives/dp/047044394… is newer?!
"The Treasury Bond Basis" third edition is a great book. Not sure what you mean by dated, not like things have changed since it was written.
