McKinsey vs Morgan Stanley S&T internship offers -- which to choose?
I know I'm very lucky to be in this position and able to choose between two really great opportunities. I'm having trouble deciding and want to know what factors I should consider or weigh importantly. I'm a junior in undergrad and one of my offers is expiring soon. I've seen lots of posts comparing consulting to banking, but not many comparing S&T at a BB to consulting at MBB. I posted this in the S&T forum already, but I wanted to get this forum's perspective as well.
They are not similar at all. This is really a no brainer and only depends on what your personal interests are as well as what you see yourself doing in the future. If you see yourself working in and around markets then go S&T, if not then go McK. It is more or less that simple.
I'm someone who did at least some time in MBB, IB, and S&T.
MBB is the safe bet, and while I didn't hate it, I definitely found it less fun than S&T. But that world's going the way of the dodo. I'm surprised they're even hiring someone whose profile is also appealing to MBB.
.
It's not. Last time I checked, banks are still hiring plentiful for S&T.
if i were you, i'd take mckinsey. but that's because i have no interest in S&T, and i'm interested in what consulting has to offer
what are you interested in?
