Have you considered finding a trainee ship or internship in Europe? I know many German companies which have apprenticeships, which hire high school graduates, and place them into 2-3 year rotational programs where they learn on-hand experience. Once the program is completed they return back home to complete a college degree, or at the same time undertake a degree whilst working full-time. Many of these companies are large multinationals with offices in New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, London etc - the financial hubs.

Work with what you have (your GPA), and start networking with anyone and everyone. It may be easier to start connecting with people in Europe and finding opportunities there than getting sponsorship for a SA in the states.
