Summer Analyst Predicament - London

Hey guys, I am starting an S&T summer analyst role at a bulge bracket in London. I live roughly 50 minutes from the office with my parents however I know S&T is notorious for its early starts which may mean living near the office may make life easier however I'm not sure if its worth getting a place closer to the office as rent prices in London are outrageous and I will have to pay for bills, food etc myself rather than it already being provided at home further adding to the cost.

Any advice?

Congratulations! I want to target S&T roles at BB in London for 2027 summer and i just haven’t found as much info as IB for what it takes for you to get interviewed.

I’m assuming you had peers in the cohort so you have a good sample size. Do you mind sharing what you guys’ profiles were like? Past internships?

I’m a student at a top target in Europe (HSG/HEC) and don’t have a stellar internship secured yet (would probably get a Big4 TAS one) and wanted to see how feasible S&T would be
