to be a trader

I am a student who aims to pursue my career as a trader. I will appreciate it very much if I can get some advice on how to prepare myself for my future career.

what kind of computer skills are needed to be a good trader? Are programming languages important?

What knowledge should I pay particular attention to at school?

so take this with a grain of salt, but i would recommend following the markets actively. read WSJ and watch CNBC daily. trade either on paper on with a brokerage account

read all about the industry (liars poker, vault guide to sales and trading, F.I.A.S.C.O.)

take classes that will be relevant such as math classes and those that focus on bonds, derivatives, etc

do you go to a target?
