Breaking into VC w/ Tech focus
I am entering my 4th and final year of university. I am a finance major at a Canadian target school with a strong interest in FinTech. I am currently doing a summer internship at a FinTech startup in Toronto working very autonomous and hands-on projects gaining lots of exposure to the ins and outs of these startups. Looking at FT recruiting, how do I leverage this to get to a VC/incubator to advance my career and grow my network? I've seen the posts to be cautious about entering VC, but if I want to accelerate my tech career is this the right move? I also know VC recruiting is a lot less formal than some of the other opportunities such as IB and PE, what should my next steps be?
