Feeling lost about how to recruit for VC

Hi All,

In the past, this forum has been super helpful with senior monkeys answering questions, so Hopefully someone here can help. I just got the associate promo, 2 YOE doing levfin, and trying to break into VC. Even though my background is much more suited towards PC, I've realized the past two years that I absolutely do not want to work in the levfin space. I've worked with startups and have some VC experience in college, but it seems like very few VCs will give my resume a chance.

I've also considered internally lateraling to a tech group before making the jump but it's quite tough since the group is so popular. Right now, I'd appreciate any advice on my situation. Honestly, just looking for a foot in the door.
