PRINCETON OR UCHICAGO (HF/VC UNDERGRAD)???
I've just been taken off the Princeton undergrad waitlist, I've already committed to UChicago but it is not too late to switch.
Out of Princeton and UChicago, which school is stronger for HF out of undergrad?
Considering many things such as education, network, alumni connection, job placement, and more.
Princeton hands down. It is a top 2 Ivy, and therefore not in the same tier as UChicago in any objective career consideration.
Thank you! I have to reply to Princeton this upcoming Monday. What makes you say Princeton? What does a top 2 Ivy consist of? For all I know, it's just a name with little metrics. In terms of programs, UChicago is famous for its economic theory. UChicago named the economics building after the founder of CITADEL. Princeton has produced three U.S. Presidents. The access Princeton has may give UChicago a run for its money. Though, I imagine all the top schools have the same access.
Both schools are hard core but I think Princeton students are happier
Interesting, are you saying that one school will not give more opportunities than the other? I'm not too-too concerned about my college happiness. I just want to position myself in the best way possible for HF/VC without going into IB. Buyside being incredibly hard to break into, I'm ready to sacrifice social life and sleep during my college years to set the rest of my life up.
Not gonna lie, you come across as a total putz
UChicago is a top 10 school. Agree with poster above that basically everyone sees Princeton UG as a #1-3 ivy. So, Princeton.
Perhaps funds will see it that way too? Of course, not negating a good stock pitch, etc. etc.
you can still (eventually) get into every company in the world through UChicago. But for a select few on the buyside you will have a much steeper hill to climb compared to let's say someone going to Harvard or Princeton. So, why not just take the path of least resistance and go to Princeton?
.
That's a powerful statement. I've spoken to a few of the current UChicago students. A few of them have told me that some of their veteran students are transferring for reasons I do not know why; "better opportunities" they said.
Lmao I went to U of C as well and you should go to Princeton for sure. No contest.
One of my family members graduated from Princeton a decade ago. Multi millionaire now (not saying this is a guarantee but you’ll be in a good position to get there). Great exposure to all types of businesses and careers. It’s not even a close competition unless you really like the city of Chicago.
Congrats on two great options!
Princeton alum support is just legendary. Would pick Princeton easily.
Best of luck!
lol u should've committed to dartmouth over UC. Hope you took Princeton?!
Dude, chill out with the all caps. I read that title screaming in my head
