Recruiters for VC roles

Which headhunters/recruiters do the top VCs use? Not an exhaustive list, but would love to know who recruits at the associate/principal level for: Menlo Ventures, Greylock, Bessemer, Accel, Sutter Hill, Mayfield, General Catalyst, Index Ventures, Lightspeed, Redpoint, GGV, Bain Capital Ventures, NEA, IVP.

I've heard that Gold Coast has recruited for Accel, Glocap has recruited for NEA and Ratio has recruited for Redpoint. I've also heard that Amity, DSP, CPI and True Search have done some growth equity placements.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, when it comes to recruiting for VC roles, several headhunters and recruiting firms are known for their work with top venture capital firms. While the specific recruiters for each firm you mentioned aren't all detailed in the context provided, I can share some insights on the recruiters known for their involvement in the VC and growth equity space:

  1. Glocap: Known for its extensive relationships within the VC industry. It has been mentioned in relation to NEA, showcasing its involvement in recruiting for top-tier VC firms.

  2. Ratio Advisors: Mentioned in the context of having an impressive roster of top VC and growth firms. While Redpoint specifically isn't mentioned in the context provided, Ratio Advisors is highlighted for its coverage in tech and VC/growth investing.

  3. CPI: Another top headhunter with great clients in the VC space. They are unique in their approach, as they might ask paper LBO questions or give a small case study during the introductory meeting, which is not common among other headhunters.

  4. DSP (Dynamics Search Partners): Although not specifically linked to the firms you've listed, DSP has a strong presence in the PE space and could potentially be involved in VC recruiting given their broad reach.

  5. Amity, True Search: These firms are mentioned in the broader context of recruiting in the private equity and venture capital space, indicating their involvement in growth equity placements.

For firms like Menlo Ventures, Greylock, Bessemer, Accel, Sutter Hill, Mayfield, General Catalyst, Index Ventures, Lightspeed, GGV, Bain Capital Ventures, and IVP, the specific recruiters used can vary and might not always be publicly disclosed. However, Accel has been mentioned in relation to Gold Coast, indicating that some top VC firms do work with specialized recruiters for their hiring needs.

Networking and direct outreach to the firms or through connections in the industry can also be effective strategies for discovering recruitment opportunities at these top VC firms.
