An Investment Bankers Like

Investment Banking is a good job if you want to move into PE or if you love the life style but think long and hard about IB particularly the firm (and more importantly the group) you are working for. Some of them have great training programs and some of them simply exploit their workers with little time for training once the analyst is on the job. I have heard of some IBers that literally hate their jobs working every weekend and 18 hour days. If you only need 5 hours per night on a sustained basis you might be able to get by with that. Let me know what you are considering and I will let you know if I know the firm and group.

What gives you the authority to do such a thing?

The answer to your question is 1) network 2) get involved 3) beef up your resume 4) repeat -happypantsmcgee WSO is not your personal search function.

Epic tale, friend.

- Bulls make money. Bears make money. Pigs get slaughtered. - The harder you work, the luckier you become. - I believe in the "Golden Rule": the man with the gold rules.

Not gonna lie.... yur an MD , went to MIT and your english is as bad as mine.... becuase sister lifestyle isn't 2 words.....

I don't even know what to say about this thread... the quality overall on WSO today is not strong... lot's of trolling. I wonder if this is a leading indicator of more M&A activity coming up over the next few weeks. All the real bankers are working on a deal and have no time for WSO?
