Asian girl wanting to go blonde

Hi, I'm an incoming summer analyst at a BB next year and I've been wanting to dye my hair blonde for the longest time ever. I've had black hair my entire life and just wanted to change it up, however, I'm worried that an Asian with blonde hair is not acceptable since it's not a natural hair color for us. Should I just stick with my black hair or can I dye it blonde with no repercussion?

I wonder what girls on WSO think when they read comments like this.

I had ashy blonde highlights when I first started then slowly transitioned to black because of the pandemic. Go for it! Depending on your team, extravagant lashes might be a bit too much but hair is usually fine.

I have seen plenty of asian (heritage) girls in Australia with blonde hair. Yes it is obviously not natural for most, but that’s not seen as bad anymore I think. The amount of botox going around I don’t think anyone should mind dyed hair, here or in Western countries anyway that is.

I really doubt anyone would say anything about it not being 'natural' but going blonde is a massive time suck- actually getting it done/touched up takes a long time, and your hair care routine will also probably take significantly longer.

That being said if you've always wanted to do it, its just a summer- might as well try it! Make sure you get some good products and purple shampoo! I've had success with Briogeo and Virtue.
