I haven't heard anything about the Summer associate placement or the location of the internship yet.

I haven't heard anything yet, hopefully some new information comes up soon from barclays and the other BB's

Jesus Christ, the last I heard from Barclays was in August. No information is starting to get pretty annoying, not even a start date.

I did the internship and haven't heard anything today about a background check, hopefully this means we don't have to repeat that. Definitely would like to hear on our start date though.....
I didn't intern, but have not gotten anything about a background check today. So maybe this does not necessarily mean they will be communicating start date info soon...
Last time background checks were before, during, and after the internship, so it doesn't really tell us much about start date comms yet

At least "initial training" is virtual, "technical training" may be in-person, then? Email says "These are usually held offsite but this year they will be hosted virtually allowing you time to join your regulatory and technical training – this will give you more time to focus on your exams before navigating our offices – but don’t worry we will be making time for you to meet with your cohorts and teams; and where social distancing rules allow, we will offer some in-person networking sessions towards the end of your training too!"
What does this really mean? 'allowing you time to join your regulatory and technical training'

Yup. Asked them for details and they said 7 weeks training then you hit the desk. Seems long to me.
